Landing Page became a very popular "Buzz Word" in the online community within the past decade or so. Landing pages have already evolved very rapidly as internet revolution happened so fast too. While the phrase "landing pages" is so common in the online world, there aren't too many who know its real meaning and the many things that a landing page is capable.
A landing page is a page on a website that appears once you click on a certain advertisement in the ad boxes like that you might experience with Google Adwords, in banner ads, on a website, a link in a social media site, or even in an email blast.
In this article, we describe some landing pages examples. There are two kinds of landing pages:
1. Reference - this kind of landing page is intended to display some relevant information but not necessarily gathering information from visitors. A Reference landing page would include some small groups of text like bullet points, relevant links, short sentences or even some relevant images. Landing page design planning plays a very big role in making the best landing pages. The most successful Reference landing pages of the best websites display do not overload the visitor, but rather just simply send out enough information that successfully gets the point across.
2. Call to Action - This type of landing page is intended to gather information from visitors like full name, email address, telephone number, among many others. This is done through a Call to Action by radio buttons or a simple form. A very effective Call to Action landing page will populate sufficient information that will be enticing for the visitor, with very minimal amount of data gathered through the Call to Action. Such kind of landing page is used more often than the Reference type of landing page.
There are many landing page templates available online and you can even find plenty of free landing pages which are intended for any newbie landing page designer. Creating landing pages can be a daunting task to any beginner, as landing page design needs to include landing page optimization. Optimizing landing pages can be a challenge to any beginner, but not so much with the free landing pages templates available, allowing any beginner to design landing page that works.
The best approach is to create landing pages in the simple way possible. It provides users with a very useful tool that can easily and cheaply create their preferred landing pages very quickly and be able to track relevant data. After all, there is no point to get landing pages too fancy, as the best websites are supposed to have straightforward and simple landing pages.
